Bees at ouseburn farm
Bees are fundamental to farming. They pollinate plants and are vital to stable, healthy food supplies. Since the early days of Ouseburn Farm in the late 1970s, we’ve kept bees and continue this practice today.
Much as we depend on bees for everything we do here at the farm, we also depend on your donations. Like bees, your support too has helped us grow; from a humble caravan on a derelict paint factory to the thriving community farm you and your family enjoy today.
the bee wall
To celebrate the role that bees play in our lives and fundraise for our future, we’ve created the Ouseburn Farm Bee Wall.
The bees have been designed exclusively for our Bee Wall by local artist Ali Elly:
"As a long-time supporter of Ouseburn Farm, I jumped at the opportunity to support this campaign. Bees play such a critical role around the farm and in our ecosystem. As an environmental artist, the Bee Wall is a great way to highlight the threats bees face while supporting this amazing charity. I really hope this beautiful wall of bees starts lots of interesting conversations. We should all be talking about how amazing bees are and what we can all do to help save them".
For £50 you too can sponsor one of our bees and see your name on our Bee Wall. After your purchase, you will receive a certificate and the name of your choice will be printed and installed for all to see on our Bee Wall in the farm cafe.
